Common mistakes to avoid
- Clearing browser data: the notepad uses localStorage. Clearing browsing data also deletes saved notes.
- Private browsing: in incognito mode, localStorage is cleared on close. Your notes will be lost.
- Space limits: localStorage has a typical limit of 5-10 MB per domain. For very long texts it might not be enough.
- Not a backup: for important documents, always download the .txt file as backup. localStorage is not a substitute for saving to disk or cloud.
