Common mistakes to avoid

Wrong birth municipality: the fiscal code uses the cadastral code, not the postal code. For those born abroad, the country code must be used.
Omocodia not handled: two people with the same personal data generate the same "base" CF. The Revenue Agency assigns a different code that this tool cannot predict.
Accented characters in names: accented letters in surnames or names are handled by the algorithm, but in specific ways. Verify the result against the official CF.
Suppressed municipalities: some municipalities have been merged. The cadastral code may have changed over time.
Confusing provisional and official CF: the code generated by this tool is the "calculated" CF, which may differ from the official one assigned by the Revenue Agency due to omocodia.
